Donating Your Shoes to a Worthy Cause:

Have pairs of designer shoes or any shoes with little or no use?

Whether you have a pair of young mens or womens, kids shoes, designer, casual, or athletic (though you may want to give some consideration to the level of comfort) there is some purpose you can give them before you go to the shoe store - donate them.

Here are a few ways to do it:

    1. The Shoes for Orphan Souls project is a humanitarian organization just for this. They have the capabilities to distribute your shoes to an orphan around the world in more than thirty supporting countries. Perhaps, even you would be willing to take this one step further, and, would want to help fulfill the need for shoe drive coordinators in your local area, they might take you up on it.

Cash donations are accepted also and are used toward buying lower cost shoes.

For more information, including where to drop off, packing, how to become a shoe drive coordinator, partner organizations or to receive information about shoe drives contact the Shoes for Orphan Souls project at 214-914-1676 or online at Shoes for Orphan Souls

    2. Local Food Banks - these sometimes take shoes and clothing. The best aspect of donating this way is normally that the recipient does not have to pay anything to receive the shoes and he or she will get them quick, so long as they are discovered. Cost-free might be the way to go, particularly in hard economic times, when many people simply don't have the money to spend.

    3. Good Will - though donating to them may be considered a charitable contribution, they do have operating costs so be aware that passing shoes onto them will mean the recipient will have to pay to receive them.

Whichever way - any decent, functional shoes are sure to be appreciated!
